Working to amend into the 236 page Customs & Enforcement bill H.R. 644 — Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act of 2015 as it appeared here on May 14, 2015 when the Senate sent it back to the House after the Senate had amended it.
There is a lot of stuff stuck into H.R.644 that would otherwise be a poison pill if that stuff was in TPA . Getting knowledgeable on customs & enforcement bill is thus also critical to strengthening the resistance to these iniquitous, nefarious, rotten, sinful, unethical, legislative complexes that Boehner, Ryan, and Obama (helped by Pete Sessions {TX31} Chair of House Rules Cmte. that had hearings on H.R. 644 today) are ramming down our throats.
Ryan reworked Senate action and today he proposed this new version TPA shown here: "AMENDMENT TO THE SENATE AMENDMENT TO H.R. 644". On Page 251 of this amendment is the objectionable Global Warming & climate change language that caused Sierra Club and the Natural Resources Defense Council to send a joint letter to House members yesterday, Wednesday, railing at the amendment and urging a "no" vote on the customs bill and also on H.R. 1314 Trade Act of 2015 (TPA-FastTrack bill).

Section 912: Amends the Bipartisan Congressional Trade Priorities and Accountability Act of 2015. Subsection (a) ensures that trade agreements do not require changes to U.S. immigration law or obligate the United States to grant access or expand access to visas issued under 8 U.S.C.1101(a)(15). Subsection (b) ensure that trade agreements do not require changes to U.S. law or obligate the United States with respect to global warming or climate change. Subsection (c) adds a negotiating objective related to fisheries. Subsection (d) allows the Chair and Ranking Member of the House and Senate Advisory Groups to each send up to three personnel to serve as delegates to negotiating rounds. Subsection (e) perfects the negotiating objective on human trafficking to require countries to take concrete steps to address trafficking. Subsection (f) makes technical amendments.
