
Compared to others that ended with water cannons and tear gas, the women's protests were quiet. Here is one in Kathmandu where they lay down.
Nepal passed a new constitution after eight years of deadlock. The ceremony of adopting it was held Sept 20th, and since then an exuberant display of nationalism has prevailed among the people of Kathmandu. The twittersphere has been crowded with strutting and (especially) with threats against India, due to the rumor that India was blockading petrol deliveries into Nepal (not exactly the case). (viz., the hashtag #BackOffIndia)
