Received this e-mail today from Governor Maggie Hassan’s (D. NH) U.S. Senate campaign:
Maggie Hassan (D. NH)
Human trafficking is a grave violation of human rights. It's completely unacceptable that women and children around the world are forced into sex slavery and exploitation.
As Governor, I've put strong protections for victims and tougher penalties for perpetrators in place in New Hampshire, but there's still more work to do.
January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. This month — and every month — we stand with the survivors of these heinous crimes, and we stand with the people working to protect the 21 million victims forced into slavery.
